What the data says - We Teach Kindness

In America’s middle schools, the lives of millions of students are negatively affected by a lack of basic kindness. Based on data from the U.S. Department of Education, here is what we know about what’s happening inside and outside of our middle schools:

Bullying and harassment continue to undermine the positive impact of school.
An alarming number of middle school students are disengaged from school.
Cyberbullying is an increasingly serious problem.
Suicide by children ages 10-14 doubled between 2007 and 2014
