Big news from Education First, which has been an integral partner and champion of the Middle School Kindness Challenge.
As part of its work work with the NoVo Foundation, Education First is seeking applications for teacher- and district-led projects that foster social and emotional skills in students in grades PK-12.
After a two years of grantmaking, Education First is continuing the Innovation in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Awards for a third year. It will award up to $5,000 to individual teachers or groups of teachers to implement an innovative project in their classrooms and schools in the 2018-19 school year. Awardees will also have the opportunity to share their work with a group of national SEL practitioners, experts and advocates at a convening during the 2018-19 school year.
Education First is also looking for applications from districts and charters to support innovative social and emotional learning efforts for and with students grades PK-12 and will award up to $25,000 per year for applications selected for district-level work.
