Take Steps to Stop Bullying at Your School

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and with bullying on the rise in U.S. schools, now more than ever students are counting on educators to step up and help stop this disturbing trend. Nearly 1 in 3 students report being bullied or harassed, and it’s not just in the hallways or classrooms it happens online too.

YouthTruth, a non-profit that surveys the concerns and perceptions of students, has created a guidebook filled with resources to help educators create a learning environment that is safe and welcoming for all students. The guidebook, which features Teach Kindness, offers numerous anti-bullying resources and other proven strategies for teaching students about empathy, diversity, understanding, and other fundamental life skills.
